The workshp was jointly orgnaized by Nepal Chemical Soceity and Central Department of Chemistry, Tribhuvan University. The workshop was held on August 30-31, 2019. In the worshop, discussion/presentation on different tools and techniques was made. The resource persons in the program were Prof. Dr. Niranjan Parajuli, Dr. Khaga Raj Sharma, Dr. Achyut Adhikari, Dr. Surenda Kumar Gautam, Dr. Mahesh Kumar Gautam, Dr. Bhanu Bhakta Neupane.
Around 50 participants from different organizations were present in the workshop.
Nepal Chemical Society (NCS) and the Kathmandu Institute of Applied Sciences (KIAS) jointly organized an interaction program Challenges on Monitoring Pesticides Residue in Food in 24th July, 2019 in Hardik Hotel Kathamndu.
Resource persons in the discussion paenl were Dr. Yubak Dhok GC (Secretarty Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock managment), Dr. Niranjan parajuli (Prof. Central Deparmtnet of Chemistry, TU), Dr. Tika Bahadur Karti (Former DG, DFTQC), Dr Deepak Khadka (former research director, UGC, Nepal), and Dr. Basant Giri (Scientist, Kathamndu Institute of Applied Sciences).
In the program various issues related to pesticide use in food and vegetable in Nepal were discussed.
Around 200 participants were present in the program.
